Safeguarding

Holy Rood Catholic Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and wellbeing of all children and members of our school community. Holy Rood School is dedicated to ensuring that stringent, effective and clear safeguarding procedures are in place to support families, children, volunteers, visitors and staff at school.

Holy Rood school have established and maintain an ethos and culture where children feel secure, are encouraged to talk, and are listened and responded to when they have a worry or concern. Children know that there are adults in the school whom they can approach if they are worried.

There is an ethos and culture where school staff and volunteers feel safe, are encouraged to talk and are listened and responded to when they have concerns about the safety and well-being of a child.

As a school we also recognise he need for children to be taught and understand how to keep themselves mentally safe and physically safe and healthy.  We are very proud of our RSHE/ PSE curriculum. For further information about this, please click here.
