If you have a safeguarding concern, the information below details how you can seek support and report your concern.

 Report your concern directly to school

At Holy Rood School we always want to ensure that every pupil is happy and safe. If you ever have a safeguarding concern about a Holy Rood pupil,  we encourage you to contact one of the school’s Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs). The names of our DSLs are detailed below. You can share your concerns with a DSL who will then be able to take the appropriate steps needed to keep a child safe and access further support if needed.

Hertfordshire Safeguarding Children Partnership

Hertfordshire Safeguarding Children Partnership (HSCP) has been set up so that all agencies and organisations who work with children and young people work together to keep children safe.

 0300 123 4043 - call us anytime if you're a child or young person being abused or mistreated.

If a child is in immediate danger  

 Call 999 if you believe a child is in immediate danger or a crime is being/ has been committed related to the child.

Online safeguarding - Should I make a report to CEOP?

CEOP works to keep children safe from sexual abuse and grooming online. CEOP are unable to respond to reports about bullying, fake accounts or account hacking.

You can report to us if you are concerned that a child is being sexually abused or groomed online. This might be from someone they know or someone they have only ever met online. We are here to help and advise you and to make the child safe. 

**Please Note**

If you have already reported your concern to your local statutory service, including children's social care or the police, you do not need to make a report to CEOP.

The CEOP Safety Centre
The Click CEOP button provides a gateway to the CEOP Safety Centre, an area of the CEOP website offering:

* advice on a range of online safety issues, such as hacking and cyberbullying;

* signposting to NCA-CEOP partners offering help and support on issues outside of CEOP’s remit, such as ChildLine and BeatBullying;

* reporting of suspected or known child sex offender activity directly to CEOP for investigation.

Reporting to CEOP

* CEOP operates a 24/7 service for the receipt of reports.

* Reports can be made to CEOP by a young person or on their behalf by a parent/carer or professional working with these groups.

* Children under 11 years of age are encouraged to tell an adult that they trust about what has happened and to ask for their help in reporting this either to CEOP or local police.

* All reports to CEOP are treated as reports of crime and as such anonymous reports cannot be accepted.
